Hozier has revealed his friends joke he’s got so famous – he must be injecting heroin into his eyeballs.
The Bray star has shot to worldwide success thanks to his debut single, Take Me To Church.
And the 24-year-old revealed that in true Irish spirit, his pals quickly slag him over his fame and getting to hang out with stars such as Taylor Swift.

He said: “They just make fun of me. They jump straight to jokes that I’m injecting heroin into my eyeballs and racing to an early grave with every success.
“The last year has been mental, but I don’t feel famous. Things are going great and I’m very happy, but I’m not famous.”
It comes as Hozier admitted that he never expected to be a huge star at all – not even expecting to be a big name in Ireland.
Instead, he has been nominated for Song of the Year at the Grammys this Sunday in Los Angeles for Take Me To Church.
He will perform on the night with Annie Lennox – one of a number of special duets put together.
