Hometown: 'Louis Walsh is a TOUGH boss – but he just wants the best out of us'

Louis Walsh’s new boyband Hometown have revealed that the X Factor judge is an extremely “tough” boss.

But the Irish lads know that it is only because he wants them to achieve their potential and give their best.

“Louis is kinda tough alright but it’s because he wants us to achieve our potential and he expects the best from us,” said Cian Morrin.

“His main advice to us is to work hard and treat every day like it’s the first day of your life.”

Already, it has seen Hometown get their first No1 with their debut single – and an Ed Sheeran song for their upcoming album.

Mayo lad Cian said: “We are all huge fans of Ed Sheeran, so you can imagine our excitement when he sent us one of his songs to record.

“It’s weird to listen to it knowing that no-one else in the world has heard this Ed Sheeran track as it isn’t on any of his albums.

“It’s a really nice song and we can’t wait to put our own twist on it and see how it turns out.”

And Cian told the Sunday World that the band know just how lucky they are – with One Direction songwriter Jamie Scott also part of the package.

He added: “We know how lucky we are to work with these guys – but they wouldn’t get involved if they didn’t think we could do the songs justice.”
