Harry Styles has confirmed the NSFW meaning behind his hit song Watermelon Sugar.
The lyrics of the song, which was released in November 2019, include: “Tastes like strawberries / On a summer evenin’ / And it sounds just like a song / I want your belly / And that summer feelin’ / I don’t know if I could ever go without.”
They also include: “I just wanna taste it, I just wanna taste it / Watermelon sugar high.”
During his concert at Nashville on Friday night, the former One Direction star confirmed a popular fan theory about the meaning of the title of his track.
In a video from the gig, shared by TikTok user @beatricetpwk, Harry explained: “This song is about… It doesn’t really matter what it’s about.”
“It’s about, uh, the sweetness of life… It’s also about the female orgasm but that’s totally different, it’s not really relevant,” he added.

The music video for Watermelon Sugar was released last year.
Set on a beach in Malibu, Harry is seen frolicking while being caressed by a group of women in bikinis.
In another scene, the former One Direction star starts suggestively running his fingers along a watermelon slice.
