Galway Girl set to play Carnagie Hall in New York

Galway girl Clare Quinn will make her debut in Carnagie Hall in New York next month.

Hitting the stage on March 27, the 15-year-old will sing Parla Piu Piano from iconic flick The Godfather.

“It is such a wonderful opportunity for me to perform on such an iconic stage as Carnegie Hall and I am really looking forward to it,” she told the Galway Advertiser.

The performance comes on the back of her winning the Judge’s Distinction Award in the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition.

No stranger to the stage, the talented singer previously performed for President Michael D Higgins in Áras as well as on The Late Late Show in 2014.

A fan of the flame-haired native, Ryan Tubridy was adamant  she would be a “big name in years to come” following her rendition of Nessun Dorma.
