Donna McCaul has revealed she is not nervous at all to audition for the A-list judges on The Voice US.
The former Eurovision star admitted that she was a bucket of nerves during her time on You’re A Star, however she is much more relaxed about her next shot at fame.
She said: “On You’re A Star I was extremely nervous, I was having a heart attack every week behind the stage but I’m not nervous, I’m new to LA and it’s all about recognition.
Comeback: Donna will perform for The Voice judges in the next few weeks
“Coming out here, no one knew me and I was starting from the bottom. It’s all about being recognised here.”
The Athlone native also revealed that while she would love to sing one of her own songs for the auditions, the producers have refused to let her.
“I wish I could sing my own song but they’re sending me out 50 songs that I have to choose 1 song from and that’s the song I get to sing on the blind auditions but you can’t go wrong with 50 songs, there has to be something in there that I can sing,” she said.
Doing better: Donna revealed brother Joe is doing well after his multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old confirmed her brother Joe is doing well following his multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
“He’s doing great. He’s up and running now. He’s singing himself as well. He’s gotten over it now. It can relapse at anytime but at the minute he’s healthy and flying around the place.”
