Netflix has released the first trailer for Cameron Diaz’s comeback movie, Back in Action.
The much-loved actress hasn’t appeared in a major motion picture since her starring role in the musical movie Annie in 2014.
The upcoming film, which will be released on January 17th, 2025, will see Cameron star opposite Jamie Foxx as two former CIA agents who have started a family after leaving their careers in espionage, however they’re pulled back in when their identities are exposed.
The movie’s cast also includes Irish actor Andrew Scott, as well as Kyle Chandler, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts, Rylan Jackson, and Glenn Close.
Back in 2018, Cameron announced she was taking a step back from the big screen after a lengthy career which put her name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
But four years later, the actress revealed she was coming out of retirement to work on a Netflix movie with Jamie.

The 52-year-old is best known for starring in ‘Charlie’s Angels’, and ‘The Holiday’, as well as notably voicing Princess Fiona in the ‘Shrek’ franchise.
During an appearance at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit last month, Cameron admitted she had to “push” herself to return to acting.
The actress said she happily could have remained at home with her family, but was persuaded to act again by her husband Benji Madden.
“It was just the right time for my family. After Covid, we were in the house for a long time, which was amazing and the problem was we would probably stay there, we would still be there right now,” Cameron confessed.

“People would be like, ‘It’s over’ and I’d be like, ‘No it’s not, it’s not over for me,” she said of returning to acting.
“So I had to push myself; my husband and I — my husband, who is the best — he was like, ‘You’ve been supporting us and building the family’ and supporting him in his businesses, he’s like, ‘It’s time for us to support you and let Mommy ascend and do her thing.’”
“‘He’s like, ‘Let me see you do it girl.’ I was like, ‘Alright, here we go.’”
