His brother Robert Sheehan became a household name after Love/Hate and Skins – but now Brendan Sheehan is quickly making a name for himself.
The budding actor started out in short films and sketches and now Brendan’s landed his first feature film.
Speaking to Goss.ie Brendan said that he’s finally starting to prove himself, but he doesn’t mind being compared to his brother.
He said: “I have done the ground work, I’ve got parts that if I do well, it will prove that I can do it.

“People ask me, ‘Does it annoy you being called Robert’s brother all the time?’ But why would that annoy me?
“I’m so proud of him so it doesn’t bother me at all, honestly I couldn’t care less. I think it’s great. I’d love to work with him at some stage.
Right now Brendan is working on his first lead role in a feature movie, an Irish film with the working title Illegal Immigrant.
The actor is starring alongside Ghana actress Leonara Okine.

Brendan plays a charismatic app developer who falls in love with the cleaner in his building.
The movie contains passionate sex scenes, but Brendan revealed he was used to that, after shooting an orgy scene for Penny Dreadful.
“It was background. It was an orgy scene in a house. There was a lot of different stuff going on, I was there with my top off,” he told Goss.ie.
“It was crazy working on a big set. The scene was like a minute long and that was a full day of work.”

Meanwhile Brendan admitted he wouldn’t say no to moving to Hollywood.
“I’d like to move around. I’ll see how it goes, it all depends how this progresses. But I’m loving it so far,” he said.
“I’m excited about this move now, I’ve really clicked with the cast. Â I only found out about a week and a half ago and I’m filming already.”
