Ronan Keating's big film debut only being released in THREE Irish cinemas

Ronan Keating’s film debut looks to already be a flop in Ireland – with the movie being screened in just three cinemas.

The Boyzone star made his acting debut last year in Australian flick Goddess, in which he flashes his bum for one scene.

Now Goddess – which got warm reviews when released Down Under – has finally made its way to Ireland.

However, despite getting a premiere at the Jameson International Film Festival, just three IMC cinemas have decided to screen it.

And in the UK it is only going into nine cinemas, with none in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, with fans hard-pressed to be able to see it.

Fans have however started a campaign to try and persuade more cinemas to show it but it looks unlikely to succeed.

Critics said that Dubliner Ronan was overshadowed by his co-stars in the film, which he spent years training to star in.

“I’ve been trying to act for 12 years. I’ve got knock-backs constantly,” he previously explained.

“I’ve been to auditions, they didn’t want me and I just don’t think I was good enough. I tried and tried and tried and wasn’t ready.”

He will soon be back on the big screen as the singing voice of Postman Pat in a movie of the favourite children’s character.
