Pics: TV3's first movie The Guarantee begins filming in Dublin

TV3’s first feature film has began shooting in Dublin this week.

The movie sees Love/Hate’s Fran aka Peter Coonan playing former Anglo Irish Bank chief executive David Drumm.

RTE star David Murray also stars in the film. The Amber actor plays former Finance Minister Brian Lenihan.

The roles of Kate Walsh, Sean Fitzpatrick and Brian Cowen are being played by Orla Fitzgerald (The Wind That Shakes The Barley), Morgan Jones (Breakfast on Pluto), and Gary Lydon (Calvary) respectively.

Speaking about the production, director Ian Power said:

“The Guarantee is a story which covers the entire gamut of the human experience. That there is a hunger in Irish people to see a clear, unbiased version of this story I am in no doubt.

“I think they are owed that, and I think they will be surprised by the entertainment value of it – it’s a real roller coaster ride.”

The film is based around September 29th, 2008, when the Irish government decided to guarantee the entire domestic banking system.
