Now THAT'S a film we'll be Taken with: Liam Neeson and Bono team up to create movie

Liam Neeson has revealed that he is working on a movie with his U2 frontman pal Bono.

The Hollywood actor has been friends with the Dublin singer for years – especially becoming close after the sudden death of his wife, Natasha Richardson, in 2009.

And now the Taken star said they are hoping to eventually come together to collaborate on their planned film about the Irish showband phenomenon of the 70s.

He said: “We chat, or with him a lot of the time I just listen. He’s a wonderful man.

“He’s got an idea for a script which we’ve been working on for the past six years.”

However Liam revealed that one area where they differ on is technology which “terrifies” him – while Bono released U2’s album for free with iTunes.

He said: “I’m fine with this but every month [my sons] are telling me to change to the latest version, and [I say], ‘Oh shut up.’

“But now it’s playing up and I know they’ve put some gremlin in there, saying: ‘Oh, he’s had that phone for two years. It’s time.’ I swear, that’s what they do.”
