Al Pacino’s film The Irishman set for 2018 release

It has been revealed that Martin Scorsese’s new film is set to be released in 2018, with production starting in 2017.

The ’60s Irish gangster film tells the story of Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheerman.

The film stars Robert De Niro and Al Pacino but their role in the movie is currently unknown.

The film is based on a book by Charles Brandt that details the life of Frank, a real-life assassin, who confessed on his death bed to the murder of Teamsters’ Union boss Jimmy Hoffa.

The assassin was close friends with Jimmy, according to entertainment.ie, but he turned on him over the union boss’ desire to have John F. Kennedy assassinated.
