Lindsay Lohan six months behind on her rent for London apartment

Lindsay Lohan is facing bankruptcy after she failed to pay over six months rent on her Knightsbridge flat, reports Mailonline.com

The Mean Girls actress was issued with papers from solicitors Child & Child demanding payment of £77,600 to cover her rent for the six months to August. Lawyers for the landlord will petition at court for her bankruptcy on November 8 if she fails to turn up.

The American star moved into the London home with her ex-finance Egor Tarabasov, a Russian businessman who she split with in July this year. The couple went their separate ways after a row at the flat in July of this year, where the police were called.

It is believed that the American star was once one of Hollywood’s highest paid actresses with a fortune of in excess of £5million.

Last night the friend of Mr Tarabasov told Mailonline: ‘Lindsay is in an absolute mess. She has blown virtually all her money, and has basically resigned herself to being declared bankrupt… The whole situation is incredibly tragic, and for Lindsay this is an astonishing fall from grace.’

The property tycoon has spoken to police about a number of other items she allegedly stole from him such as a Tracey Emin print and a Panerai Luminor watch.

Lindsay began her career as a child fashion model and appeared in Vogue at the age of three. She caught her first big break when she was cast in the Parent Trap in 1998.
