Kate Hudson has shared her thoughts on whether or not there should be a How to Lose a Guy in 10 days sequel.
Speaking with E! News, the actress explained that for her to return for another instalment of the beloved 2003 rom-com “it would just have to be totally right.”
However, as Kate began to list the crucial elements needed for her to get on board, her Running Point producer Mindy Kaling pipped in.
“It can be B minus. Just do it,” said The Office star.
Although Kate appeared to not be fully-confident that she’d reprise her character, she is certain where the journalist Andie Anderson would be today.
“Too wild by nature. Definitely she still has great outfits, number one. She still loves dresses and Isadora diamonds,” she shared.
To which Mindy agreed, saying: “Great outfits, iconic hair.”

Concerning whether or not if she and Matthew McConaughey’s characters are still together, Mindy said: “Oh my goodness.”
“I don’t think it’s smooth sailing with her and Matthew’s character because they’re wild by nature.”

This isn’t the first time Kate has showed an interest in potentially making a sequel to How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
In a July 2024 episode of What What Happens Live, she said: “I think the studios are always thinking about that.”
“All that matters would be the script and if Matthew and I were into the script. We’re both totally open. It has just never happened.”
