Justin Timberlake has revealed his musical heroes are The Clancy Brothers – who wore Irish sweaters while touring.
The Hollywood star said he is a “major fan” of the 1960s folk group but never loved their on-stage look.
He said: “They were such an important influence on so many people, including myself and Bob Dylan. The impact their ballads and a cappella style of singing was huge.
“I count myself as a major fan of The Clancys — maybe not so much the Aran sweaters, but definitely the music!

“The 1970s are pretty prevalent in my music as a recording artist and so are the 80s, but my Mom played 60s music when I was growing up.
“And I also watched Martin Scorsese’s documentary on Bob Dylan which featured The Clancys as well as Dave Von Ronk who Inside Llewyn Davis is based on.”
The 32-year-old is set to appear in the Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis, based on the 1960s folk scene – and he even sings The Auld Triangle.
But Justin isn’t planning to come to Ireland anytime soon despite going on a world tour in the coming months.
He told the Irish Sun: “It didn’t work out this time. I’ve enjoyed playing there over the years.
“I hear you have great golf courses? We must try to squeeze in a few dates for Dublin.”
