Jack Reynor reveals the Jungle Book is unlike ANY other film he's ever made

Jack Reynor has revealed he loves filming the Jungle Book – although it’s one of the most unusual films he’s ever done.

The Transformers actor has a starring role in the remake of the popular Disney classic alongside A-listers Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett.

“I certainly am enjoying myself on the Jungle Book, it’s a funny one,” he said.

“It’s very irregular, it’s unlike any other film that I’ve ever made – it’s going to be really great.”

The young actor is currently busy promoting his new film Grassland, which was filmed in Dublin last year.

Jack stars alongside Toni Collette in the flick and the 23-year-old won the World Cinema Special Jury Prize For Acting at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year for his role.

The actor admitted he was thrilled to work with Toni who  he described as “amazing”.

“So we went out to her and it was a total shot in the dark, and fortunately she responded to us positively and she wanted to do the movie.”

“She came over and we had five days with her on set,” he told The Herald.

“I’m sure she’d say herself that it was a particularly intense experience for her, but we were all really fulfilled and gratified by it.”

Jack also admitted the highlight of filming Grassland was being able to work in Ireland.

“Toni is amazing, I’ve grown up watching her films and when I read the script I said, ‘This has to be Toni Colette. She’s the only person really for this’,” he said.

“It was a really enjoyable experience, really short and really intense – the kind of thing that you want to do as an actor.”

“To be able to do it at home as well, that’s the best part.”
