Over the last year, Irish stars and films have been tipped to receive nominations for the 2017 Oscars.
The full list of nominees is out today and one of Ireland’s most talked about stars has been predicted to be in the line-up.
Ruth Negga has been rumoured for a while to be nominated for Best Actress for her role as Mildred Loving in the emotional film based on a true story, Loving.

Already the Limerick native has won four awards for best actress in the film and three others including Breakthrough Performance, Best Onscreen Couple and Rising Star.
Ruth’s film Loving is also predicted to be nominated for Best Film, according to Variety – as is John Carney’s Sing Street.
The musical comedy is also tipped to be nominated for Best Original Song for Drive It Like You Stole It.

Colin Farrell’s The Lobster is also rumoured for many nominations including Best Original Screenplay, Best Film Editing and the Dubliner is tipped for Best Actor.
Kubo And The Two Strings, which stars Donegal native Art Parkinson as the protagonist, is tipped to be nominated for Best Animated Feature.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Kimmell has revealed how much he is paid to host the Oscars.
