Gabrielle Union has teased a sequel to the cult classic film Bring It On as she says her kids “don’t like the original.”
The original film stars Gabrielle and Kirsten Dunst as the heads of rival cheerleading squads, which follows them as they trained for the national championships.
Despite earning only $90.4 million from a $11 million budget when film was released in theatres in August 2000, Bring IT On developed a cult following.

In addition, the movie inspired a Broadway musical stage adaptation, five direct-to-video sequels, and a television movie sequel, none of which included any of the original cast members.
Gabrielle hinted at a sequel during her appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live on Monday, suggesting that she and Kirsten are now prepared to reunite for a follow-up.
During the show, she also acknowledged that neither of her children, 6-year-old Kaavia and 17-year-old Zaya, like the original.
When asked when the last time she saw her co-star Kirsten was, Gabriella said: “Well, I ran into Kiki a couple of months ago. Our kids are around the same age, and her child goes to school with one of Kaav’s best friends.”
“So, I see her kind of more regularly, and we, perhaps, maybe all have been working on something.”
This isn’t the first time the actress has teased the sequel, as she recently spoke with CBR and said: “I mean, it’s so interesting, because there may or may not be something in the works, that, you know, we’ve all been working on for a very long time.”
