From Dingle to Hollywood – as Charlotte Peters lands lead role with Ryan Gosling director

Irish actress Charlotte Peters is set to be Hollywood’s next big star – after landing a massive film role.

The Dingle native has been cast as the lead in new movie A Winter’s Dream – written by Joey Curtis, who was the director of Blue Valentine.

And Goss.ie can reveal that she will play the female lead – playing Kix, a hardworking soldier in the film, which is set in dystopian future.

Her spokesman confirmed: “Charlotte has been offered Winter’s Dream written by Joey Curtis – the director of Blue Valentine, starring Ryan Gosling.”

Next big thing: Charlotte will star alongside Ryan Gosling

Charlotte began her career as a professional model, and later attended a drama studio in London.

Previously she bagged a small role in film in China, starring alongside Jean Claude Van Dam.

She has already starred in the West End – playing the female lead in comedy show The 39 Steps.

Before getting into acting, Charlotte studied special needs teaching – with a particular interest in motor neuron function in Down’s syndrome children.

It is expected that the Kerry actress’ career could now follow the same upwards trajectory of Jack Reynor after he bagged a part in Transformers.
