Fans are calling Anya Taylor-Joy and Matt Smith’s new movie ‘the best film of the year’

The countdown to Halloween is on, and there’s a new psychological horror film hitting cinemas just in time for the spooky season.

Anya Taylor-Joy, Matt Smith, James and Oliver Phelps, Thomasin McKenzie, Diana Rigg, Rita Tushingham, Terence Stamp, Jessie Mei Li, Michael Ajao, Synnøve Karlsen, Margaret Nolan and Lisa McGrills star in ‘Last Night in Soho’, directed by Edgar Wright.

The film tells the story of an aspiring fashion designer who mysteriously able to enter the 1960s, where she encounters a dazzling wannabe singer.

However, the glamour is not all it appears to be, and the dreams of the past start to crack and splinter into something far darker.

The movie hits movie theatres on October 29, and those who have already watched the film are giving it rave reviews.

Taking to Twitter to react to the flick, one fan wrote: “LAST NIGHT IN SOHO Wright’s best film and one of the year’s best. A loud chaotic nightmarish tribute to London. Thomasin McKenzie has full control. Anya Taylor-Joy is unreal. Production, costumes and editing are superb. A great reminder that nostalgia can be the devil.”

Another tweeted: “LAST NIGHT IN SOHO is MIDNIGHT IN PARIS for the horror set. A work of genius, both in concept and execution, it is arguably Edgar’s best film. He’s made so many great films, many folks will have opinions, but this is one that will rise to the top. Jess & I lost our minds for it.”
