Domhnall Gleeson tipped for Oscar glory

Domhnall Gleeson is getting Oscar buzz thanks to his latest movie role.

The Irish actor has joined the cast of the new Whinnie The Pooh movie, and critics are already predicting he will be huge next award season.

Called Goodbye Christopher Robin, the film hasn’t even begun shooting and Domnhall will play the creator AA Milne.

The film follows the author’s relationship with his son with Margot Robbie playing Milne’s wife, Daphne.

Vanity Fair magazine are already predicting an Oscar, writing:

“Awards Season Darling Domhnall Gleeson to Get a Real Shot at Oscar”.

“Domhnall Gleeson, who grew up in the spotlight of his actor father Brendan Gleeson, might certainly have an insight or two into the life of Christopher Robin Milne.

“But it’s entirely possible that this biopic will only touch on the knottier side of the Milne legacy.

“Still, whether sanitised and heartwarming or more complex, both Goodbye Christopher Robin and Domhnall Gleeson seem as though they’ll have a real shot at being part of the Oscar conversation in 2018.”
