Daniel Craig and Danny Boyle confirmed for next James Bond film

Daniel Craig will reprise his role as 007

Daniel Craig and Danny Boyle have been confirmed for the next ‘James Bond’ film.

After much speculation, Daniel Craig will reprise his role as the famous spy, while Danny Boyle will direct the 25th anniversary film.

This is Craigs fifth outing as James Bond, despite previously saying, “I’d rather slash my wrists” than reprise the role.

Also rumoured to return to the franchise are Naomie Harris, who plays Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as gadgets expert Q, and Rory Kinnear as Tanner.

The Trainspotting director previously worked with Daniel on a short film which was made for the 2012 London Olympics, and also featured the Queen of England.

Other information announced surrounding the film include Universal replacing Sony as co-distributors.

Production is set to begin in December at Pinewood Studios.

The film is set to be released in Ireland on the 25th of October, 2019 with the US release two weeks later.
