Cillian Murphy’s new film set for Audi Dublin International Film Festival 2017

Free Fire is set to hit Irish cinemas the 31st of March, 2017

Cillian Murphy’s new film, Free Fire, will be shown at the Audi Dublin International Film Festival 2017.

The festival is gearing up for another amazing year with director Bill Wheatley joining Cillian and Transformer’s star Jack Reynor.

“It’s always very exciting to have a film at the Audi Dublin International Film Festival,” Bill said.

The film, set in the 1970s, begins as a gang of criminals meet up in a warehouse in order to purchase arms- but soon a disagreement turns into a full-on shootout between the two parties making the transaction.

“Showing Free Fire feels particularly satisfying as two of its stars, Jack Reynor and Cillian Murphy, were in the audience for the screening of High-Rise in Dublin last year,” he told the film festival.

“Afterwards they took me out and showed me the town, and we gently drank fizzy water and were all done and dusted by 11 at night. Just how I like it.

“This year I hope to have some more of this moderate, sensible fun.”

The Audi Dublin International Film Festival is scheduled in 2017 to take place between February 16 – 26.
