Charlie Hunnam threatened to ‘f**king fight’ Michael Fassbender at audition

Charlie Hunnam threatened to “f**king fight” Michael Fassbender during auditions for upcoming flick King Arthur.

The film’s director, Guy Richie, packed the pressure on the Sons of Anarchy star to get in shape for the role – but ended up pushing him too far in the process as he knew Hollywood hot shots Henry Cavill and Michael Fassbender were also up for the role.

“I said, ‘You know what? F***ing stop the camera’.

“I’m starting to lose my temper. I know those other pricks you’ve got reading for this role [Henry Cavill and Michael Fassbender],” he said in an interview Empire.

“If you bring them in right now, I’ll f***ing fight them both at once for the role, and we’ll see what’s up with the physicality.”

To which Guy Richie replied, “F***ing hell, alright, calm down mate.”

Thankfully, for Charlie’s sake, he landed the role of the reinvented Arthur – and admitted that playing King Arthur was a childhood dream of his.

“[It was] a childhood dream to play King Arthur. We wanted to make an ignoble Arthur, at least at first.

“We wanted him to feel contemporary, selfish, somewhat rough around the edges,” he added.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is set for release on March 24, 2017.
