Actor Brian Gleeson is preparing for his tough new role by working out.
The brother of Domhnall Gleeson will fly to Jordan this August to play a soldier in Iraq for a new film.
“I’m going to Jordan in August to do a film set in Iraq about two mercenary soldiers there carrying out tiger raids essentially.”
“To prepare for the role? Talk to people in that world if you can and get in shape I suppose. I’ll have to put in the homework and hit the gym,” he told Goss.ie.
The red-head added that he will need to throw on the sun cream while filming in Jordan.

‘That will be fun, it’s going to be sweltering hot in Jordan, I’ll have to slap on the factor 50,” he laughed.
The Love/Hate actor will also appear in movie Standby, co-starring Mad Men actress Jessica Pare.
The movie screened at the Cannes Film Festival last month and Brian said the reaction has been positive.

‘The director was over in Cannes talking and having meetings, and I think they are hoping for a release later this year. Fingers crossed,” he said.
Meanwhile Brian admitted this week that his brother Domhnall Gleeson hid his Star Wars role from the family.
