2FM's Jenny Greene made a cameo appearance in the original Mrs Brown's Boys movie

2FM star Jenny Greene has revealed that she has made an appearance on the original Mrs Brown’s Boys movie.

The radio DJ revealed she played the role of Proinsias De Rossa’s secretary in Agnes Browne, which was based on Brendan O’Carroll’s book.

And Jenny even had a line when she starred alongside Anjelica Huston in the flick in 1999 – which paved the way for Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie.

“I was in Mrs Brown’s Boys – the first movie. It was a long time ago anyway,” she said.

“I played Proinsias de Rosa’s secretary. I didn’t have a name I was just secretary and all I said was ‘Simon Brown’. I had a line.

And asked if she met Proinsias while filming her cameo, she said: “We shot on separate days and I am actually talking to him but we weren’t filmed together.”

Jenny seems to be no stranger to film sets as she also revealed that she made an appearance on a more recent film.

“I was also in another movie more recently that I won’t mention the name of that was absolutely horrific,” she said

“We had to sit through it and when they put on the screening – you couldn’t leave until it was over and I was like please let us go.”
