WATCH: Ryan Gosling reunites with Emma Stone for Saturday Night Live

The actor hosted the 43rd season premiere of SNL

Ryan Gosling hosted the 43rd season premiere of Saturday Night Live last night – and he was joined by a very familiar face.

During his opening monologue, the La La Land star told the audience he was thrilled to be there and that, “I haven’t been this excited since I saved jazz.”

However, Ryan was then interrupted by his La La Land co-star Emma Stone – and let’s just say, the audience was very excited to see her.

The show’s opening sketch featured Alec Baldwin as President Donald Trump, Kate McKinnon as Jeff Sessions and Aidy Bryant as Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The political sketch poked fun at Trump’s tweets and his timing on responding to the crisis in Puerto Rico.

SNL bosses are hoping to impress this season, as their last season was the most-watched in over two decades, thanks to Alec Baldwin’s Trump skit, and Melissa McCarthy’s hilarious impression of former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.
