Hugh is also producing the movie about the creation of show business, and how the showman came from nothing to make his dreams a reality.

Michelle Williams is set to play Barnum’s wife, while Zac Efron and Zendaya portray members of the circus team and Rebecca Ferguson is seen as a singer.

One clip shows Zendaya comforting a bruised and battered Zac in hospital, suggesting that they play love interests.

“I’m putting together a show, and I need a star,” Hugh explains in the clip. “Everyone of us is special, and nobody is like anyone else. That’s the point of my show.”

The feel-good trailer gives a glimpse of some of the elaborate dance sequences, and ends with Hugh declaring, “He adds, “No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else.”
