Chris Cornell’s daughter Toni delivered a moving tribute to her late father on Good Morning America.

The song was dedicated to the Soundgarden frontman and his close friend Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, who committed suicide within two months of each other.

“Chester sang this at Chris’ funeral and this is arguably one of the greatest songs written in the last 50 years, I think by most people’s accords,” OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder said. “It’s a very special song to us and I think to most people and especially to Toni, as well.”

Toni added: “It’s an honour to perform this for my dad and Chester and to sing for them.”

Chris was found dead in a hotel room in Detroit on May 18th, and Chester passed away at his home in California on July 20th. Both deaths were ruled suicides by hanging.

Toni, who is Chris’s youngest daughter, also penned a moving letter to her late father after his death.
