Trey Songz has surrendered to the LAPD and is facing felony domestic violence charges.

Th 33-year-old R&B artist, born Tremaine Aldon Neverson, has been accused of beating Andrea Buera while at a Hollywood party last month during the star studded NBA All-Star weekend.

According to TMZ, Andrea was reportedly admitted at a nearby hospital with a concussion and bruising on various parts of her body. She subsequently filed a police report against Trey.

The singer turned himself in early Monday morning, after addressing the incident on Twitter.

Trey has alleged that he has been falsely accused, for “someone’s personal gain”.

On March 13, Andrea Buera gave a news conference in which she said, “Trey began yelling at me, choking me, punching me and ultimately he knocked me to the ground. While I was on the ground he continued punching me and he did not stop until his security guard pulled him off of me.”

In August 2017, Trey pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated assault and assaulting a police officer causing injury following an incident after a performance in Detroit in December 2016. The artist was ordered to complete anger management classes and pay compensation.

Alongside his attorney Shawn Holley, Trey was released after posting a $50,000 bond.
