The Kardashian-Jenner family reject Blac Chyna’s claims in court

The Kardashian-Jenner family have rejected claims they “conspired” to cancel Blac Chyna’s E! reality show ‘Rob & Chyna’ in 2017.

On the second day of their highly-publicised trial at the Los Angeles Superior Court, attorneys for both parties provided their opening statements.

Chyna’s lawyer, Lynne Ciani, claimed that Kim and Khloe Kardashian, and Kris and Kylie Jenner were responsible for the cancellation of ‘Rob & Chyna’, following the breakdown of her relationship with Rob Kardashian.

According to Page Six, the 33-year-old is suing the family for $100 million on claims of defamation and illegal interference with her contracts and business dealings.

In court on Tuesday, Ciani argued: “Chyna wanted to bring the ‘real’ back into reality TV and a real relationship has its ups and downs.”

“Kris Jenner falsely told them [network executives and production] that Chyna beat the s**t out of Rob’s face and asked to take her off the show.”

The drama stems from an incident on December 14, 2016, when Rob and Chyna got into an argument at Kylie’s house, where they were living at the time.

Chyna admitted to damaging a TV, two gingerbread houses and a door during their row, but denied the Kardashians’ claims she physically attacked Rob with a metal pole.

However, the Kardashian-Jenners’ attorney, Michael Rhodes, painted a very different picture during his opening statement.

Rhodes claimed Chyna became violent with Rob when she allegedly pulled a gun on him, and wrapped an iPhone cord around his neck.

He also alleged the argument became so heated that Kris’ longterm boyfriend Corey Gamble had to go to the house that night and physically break them apart.

After the argument, Chyna’s attorney has alleged Kris, Kim, Khloe and Kylie emailed network executives several times to push the cancellation of ‘Rob & Chyna’, after just one season.

In response, Rhodes claimed the network was still considering whether to renew the show in 2017, and alleged bosses ultimately canceled the show because Rob and Chyna’s relationship became too toxic.

The Kardashians’ attorney also argued that the family wanted to protect Rob from further abuse.

Rhodes said: “[Chyna] said we killed the show because we are bad people … but look at what’s going on behind the camera.”

“The family was on board with what was proposed … if they could work on their relationship. But it couldn’t get fixed.”

After showing jurors various texts from Chyna to Rob where she allegedly called him a “fat bitch”, Rhodes said: “The evidence will show you that this relationship was fraught with problems.”

“The network was worried, but there were others, too, who were worried … a mother, a sister, and aunt. The truth they were worried about came true. This is a sad story because look where we are now,” he said in court.

The Kardashian-Jenner women are all expected to testify during the trial, which will continue this week.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Ryan Seacrest is among those on the witness list who could be called to testify in the case.

Chyna took to Twitter on April 2 to address the case publicly, saying she wants to “re-focus [her] attention” on winning in court.

She wrote: “I plan to re-focus my attention on my trial against Kris Jenner and her daughters Kim, Khloe, and Kylie which starts in 13 days.”

“When they got my #1 hit show killed back in January 2017, that not only hurt me financially and emotionally, that hurt my beautiful KIDS.”

“I’m taking them to court to stand up for my legal rights and to be an example to my kids that ‘what’s right is right, what’s wrong is wrong.’ And what they did was so wrong.”

“I am so thankful that a jury will finally listen to what really happened behind closed doors — the lies that were told and the damage that was done.”

“At the end of the trial, I’m going to be able to proudly tell King and Dream that I did everything I could to right the wrong that was done to me.”

“And that, in life, it is my hope that they will be able to stand up for themselves when it matters too. Peace and Love to you all. Angela,” she added.
