The host for this year’s Billboard Music Awards has been announced

Kelly Clarkson has been confirmed as the host for this year’s Billboard Music Awards.

The singer was praised for hosting the awards last year, and will return to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas to front the show once again in 2019.

She confirmed the news on Instagram, writing: “I had so much fun hosting the @BBMAs last year, I’m doing it again!”

“This year, we’re going to turn it up a notch. Join me LIVE Wednesday, May 1st on NBC!”

The 2018 Billboard Music Awards was a huge success, with performances from artists including Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes and Christina Aguilera.

The 2019 awards show will air live on Wednesday, May 1.
