Spike Lee responds to newspaper who claimed he was dead in Stan Lee mix up

Director, Spike Lee has responded to a New Zealand newspaper who claimed that he was dead, as they mixed him up with Stan Lee.

The Gisborne Herald went viral after a huge typo hit the front page, claiming that the BlacKkKlansman director had died.

The newspaper placed a picture of Stan Lee on the front page, along with the title: “Characters first, superheroes next: Spike Lee dies at 95.”

The newspaper was soon seen by thousands, as it circulated on social media and eventually reached the 61-year-old, who is very much alive.

“And Dat’s Da “I’m Still A Live, And Strivin'” Truth,Ruth. YA-DIG? SHO-NUFF,” he continued.

The newspaper have yet to respond to their viral mistake, as they meant to pay tribute to the legendary Stan Lee, who passed away on Monday morning.
