SNL boss Lorne Michaels ‘sending Pete Davidson to get help’ after worrying Instagram post

The comedian sparked concern over the weekend

Saturday Night Live boss Lorne Michaels is reportedly sending Pete Davidson to “get help”, after his worrying Instagram post sparked serious panic over the weekend.

On Saturday, the SNL comedian told fans that he didn’t “want to be on this earth anymore”, forcing NYPD to carry out a wellness check on him.

Pete was backstage at SNL at the time and his co-workers were quick to rally around him during his time of need, but now they’re eager for Pete to get the help he needs.

A source told Page Six: “The decision was taken to give Pete a break on Saturday night – his sketches were dropped before the early evening rehearsals.”

“Lorne has pledged to help all he can, including sending Pete to get help. Everyone on the cast is hugely protective of him and were obviously upset — particularly Colin Jost and Michael Che on ‘Weekend Update.’”

According to reports, Pete will return to the show in the New Year when it’s back on air.
