A series of shocking allegations against actor Armie Hammer will be explored in a brand new docuseries.
The Call Me By Your Name star’s career has been in freefall since disturbing messages allegedly sent by him went viral on social media last year.
The three-part Discovery+ series, titled House Of Hammer, will examine the accusations and the history of the wealthy American ‘Hammer’ family.
The official synopsis for the series reads: “Debauchery. Deceit. Abuse. Addiction. Corruption. Over the course of five generations, the men in the Hammer family have more secrets and scandals than any vault can contain. Armie Hammer’s alleged crimes are only the tip of the iceberg.”
“Through a trove of archive and interviews from survivors and family members, the dark and twisted secrets of the Hammer family come to light. Behind the money and power lies a dysfunctional dynasty with its male characters exhibiting all the devastating consequences of privilege gone wild.”
Jason Sarlanis, President of Crime and Investigative Content, Linear and Streaming, said in a statement: “The accusations of rape and abuse brought against Armie Hammer in the last few years are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Hammer family. Armie, who was also accused of rape by a woman in Los Angeles last March, previously slammed the “bull**** claims” that were circulating online about him.
House of Hammer joins Discovery+ on September 2.
