Shia LaBeouf was arrested in Savannah, Georgia over the weekend.
The actor was taken into custody around 4am on Saturday for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and obstruction.
Police told E! that Shia was arrested when “he became disorderly in City Market” after asking for a cigarette.
“When LaBeouf wasn’t given a cigarette, he became disorderly, using profanities and vulgar language in front of the women and children present,” the statement read. “He was told to leave the area and refused, becoming aggressive toward the officer.

“When the officer attempted to place LaBeouf under arrest, LaBeouf ran to a nearby hotel. LaBeouf was arrested in the hotel lobby, where his disorderly behavior continued. LaBeouf was charged with obstruction, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness.”
Shia was released after posting $7000 bail and has since returned to the set of his movie The Peanut Butter Falcon, which is filming in the area.
Earlier this year, the Transformers star was charged with misdemeanour assault and a harassment violation after a fight at his anti-Trump art show in New York.
He was previously arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing in 2014 after smoking and yelling during a theatre performance. Shia then entered an alcoholism treatment program.
