Cynthia Nixon may be running for New York governor, as she remained tight lipped on the subject during a public appearance.
The actress was attending the premiere of her latest film The Only Living Boy In New York, when she was asked about the rumours.
“I really can’t say much about it.”
Independent.ie reports that when asked about whether she had thought about a career in politics she said, “People have talked to me about it. People have talked to me before. So, yes.”

On Sunday Cynthia posted two Instagram snaps on the way to the event but made no mention of a possible political career.
Her name has been circulated as a potential Democratic primary challenger to governor Andrew Cuomo, who is seeking a third term in the office in the 2018 election.
The Wall Street Journal reported that liberal groups have approached the actress regarding a run for office.
