Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn admits that she has considered leaving The Oppenheim Group

Christine Quinn has admitted that she has considered leaving the luxury real-estate brokerage The Oppenheim Group.

The Selling Sunset star opened up about feeling dissatisfied with the “favouritism” shown at the brokerage, admitting she believed her co-star Mary Fitzgerald was favoured by co-founder Jason Oppenheim.

“If this favouritism continues, we’d absolutely [leave],” she told Dear Media’s Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast with Amanda Hirsch.

“Mary gets every single listing,” she continued, “Jason just doesn’t want to do work so he just gives it to her.”

“And it’s just so frustrating – he doesn’t give it to anyone else. So we’re all just like sick of it.”

“There’s a scene in the trailer [for season three] actually where Maya, Heather and I are all sitting at the table and Maya is sick of the favouritism, and she’s like, ‘Would you ever leave the show?'”

“Me and Heather are both like, ‘Yeah, of course, we think about it all the time,'” she admitted, clarifying that she wasn’t going anywhere just yet: “That was headline manipulation at its best.”

Christine also opened up about her desire reclaim the word “bitch”, after she had been labelled the villain of Selling Sunset.

“There’s no such thing as labels. And I hate when people label other people. I kind of just wanted to embrace these labels and everyday life and just roll with it.”

The 31-year-old previously confessed that she had been sent death threats after season one of the show, which resulted in her toning down her attitude.

“We definitely were a little more reserved going into season two. I was scared. I was a little scared,” she told People.

“The first few episodes of season two, the editors were like, ‘Where’s the other Christine? Where’s Christine?’ I’m like, ‘Well, that Christine gets death threats.’”

“People are so invested in the show, and they see what they see and just think I’m this crazy person. It’s just unfortunate. People are weird.”

Christine continued: “I guess I am the quote-unquote ‘show villain,’ but I love it.”

“I think it’s funny and I think people enjoy it at the end of the day, people that love me really love me. When I’m on camera, I have fun with it.”

“Whether it’s perceived well, I don’t know, but I’m really just being myself,” she said.

“I do have a heart of gold underneath that, and I think sometimes with television, it’s really hard to see all the elements of a human being on a television show.”

Christine confirmed earlier this week that Brett Oppenheim departed the brokerage to set up his own venture, telling Glamour UK: “Brett has left to start his own brokerage.”

“The girls are fed up with the favouritism of Mary in the office, we don’t know who will move where,” she added, “It may be the battle of the brokerages!”

Teasing a potential new season of the show, she added: “I think season four is going to be the juiciest season ever.”
