The Los Angeles Police Department is reportedly investigating Seal over a sexual harassment allegation made by American actress Tracey Birdsall.
Seal’s former neighbor has stated the alleged incident took place in Seal’s kitchen when she went to get a salad spinner she’d lent him.
Speaking to TMZ, Tracey claims the singer ‘lunged’ at her. She then asked Seal, “What are you doing?” to which he replied, “I’m kissing you!”
Seal then reportedly began to belittle her for what she was wearing before he allegedly groped her.
The actress claims she left and did not have contact with Seal again.
The claims come after recent controversy when Seal posted a meme on Instagram showing Oprah in a photo with Harvey Weinstein.
The caption read, “When you have been part of the problem for decades, but suddenly they all think you are the solution.”
Birdsall said it wasn’t until she saw Seal’s post about Oprah and Weinstein encouraging women to share their own stories of sexual misconduct that she decided to report it to the police.
Chrissy Teigen commented on the Oprah post saying, “Hmm. let’s just say we’ve all heard things about each other, haven’t we?”
A representative for Seal, speaking to TMZ, has said he “vehemently denies the recent allegations made against him by a former neighbor”. The rep went further to say Seal will “vigorously defend himself against these false allegations”
Seal has yet to speak personally about the claims, but he has posted a video on Instagram defending himself against the Oprah post.
