Sarah Jessica Parker returns to set of SATC reboot following Willie Garson’s death

Sarah Jessica Parker has returned to the set of the Sex And The City reboot, following the death of her co-star Willie Garson.

The 57-year-old actor, who famously played Carrie Bradshaw’s best friend Stanford Blatch in the series, sadly died of pancreatic cancer last Tuesday.

In photos published by The Mirror, SJP was spotted filming for ‘And Just Like That…’ in Manhattan on Monday, days after the loss of her close friend.

The 56-year-old wore a mauve coat, a striped skirt and a brimmed hat for scenes filmed inside a dress shop in Soho.

The actress then changed into bright purple fish-net stockings and a plaid dress for another scene.

The two-time Emmy Award winner was joined on set by Sarita Choudhury, who will star as new character Seema Patel in the series.

SJP broke her silence on the death of Willie on Friday, sharing a heartbreaking tribute to him on Instagram.

She wrote: “It’s been unbearable. Sometimes silence is a statement. Of the gravity. The anguish. The magnitude of the loss of a 30 + year friendship.”

“A real friendship that allowed for secrets, adventure, a shared professional family, truth, concerts, road trips, meals, late night phone calls, a mutual devotion to parenthood and all the heartaches and joy that accompany, triumphs, disappointments, fear, rage and years spent on sets (most especially Carrie’s apartment) and laughing late into the night as both Stanford and Carrie and Willie and SJ.”

She continued: “Willie. I will miss everything about you. And replay our last moments together. I will re-read every text from your final days and put to pen our last calls.”

“Your absence a crater that I will fill with blessing of these memories and all the ones that are still in recesses yet to surface.”

The actress concluded her tribute with a message to Willie’s beloved son, Nathen.

She wrote: “My love and deepest sympathies and condolences to you dear Nathen. You were and are the light of Willie’s life and his greatest achievement was being your Papa.”

“These were his last words to me. ‘Great bangles all around.’ Yes. Godspeed Willie Garson. RIP. X, SJ.”

Just one month before he passed away, Willie was spotted filming HBO’s upcoming Sex and the City reboot ‘And Just Like That…’ in New York City.

Though Willie played an openly gay man in the original series, he identified as straight.

The actor adopted his son Nathen, who was seven at the time, in 2009.

Willie’s heartbreaking last tweet, which was sent on September 5, read: “BE KIND TO EACH OTHER……ALWAYS. LOVE TO ALL. APRROACH KINDNESS.”
