Sam Asghari sparks rumours he’s set to propose to Britney Spears

Sam Asghari has sparked rumours he’s set to propose to Britney Spears.

The model, 27, has been dating the singer since 2016 – after they met on the set of a music video.

In photos obtained by Page Six, Sam was spotted shopping at high-end jeweler Cartier in Beverly Hills, where he reportedly asked to see a diamond ring.

A source has since told E! News: “Engagement has always been in the cards for Sam and Britney, without question.”

“”It’s the direction their relationship has been heading for nearly two years now. It’s always a discussion and it’s not a question of if, it’s when.”

“Things are evidently becoming better for Britney with her conservatorship and she’s never felt this liberated in all aspects of her life. The closer she gets to freedom, the closer she is to seeing all of her dreams become an actual reality,” the insider explained.

“Marrying Sam is high on that list and loving him the way she wants, how she wants, on her own terms. Sam also understands how close they are to being out of the woods, and it’s definitely motivating him to think big.”

The source added that Britney, 38, and her beau are “both feeling so happy and fulfilled in their work and in their relationship. They only elevate one another as a couple and bring out the best in each other.”

During her bombshell court testimony amid her conservatorship battle, Britney said: “I want to be able to get married and have a baby.”

The pop star claimed she is “not able” to do so due to restrictions that had allegedly been placed as part of her conservatorship, which she branded “abusive”.

Britney was placed under a conservatorship after she suffered an alleged breakdown in 2008. A conservatorship is granted to those who are incapable of making decisions, such as people with mental disabilities.

The arrangement put Britney’s estate, financial assets, and some personal assets under the control of her father Jamie, and lawyer Andrew Wallet – who has since resigned from the role.

The pop star’s conservatorship has been under review since 2019 after she accused her father of forcing her to enter a mental health facility.

In November last year, the songstress tried to have her father removed as her conservator, but her request was denied.

Instead, a judge named wealth management firm the Bessemer Trust as co-conservator of her estate, alongside her father. However, Bessemer Trust has since resigned from the role.

Last month, Britney’s father Jamie reportedly agreed to step down as her conservator.

But last week, the singer’s attorney Mathew Rosengart requested Jamie’s immediate suspension from his role, and accused him of trying to extort money from his daughter.

It alleged that Jamie is asking for about $2 million in payments to his legal team and former business manager Tri Star.

The next hearing in Britney’s conservatorship battle is scheduled for September 29.
