Ryan Reynolds has been cast as Pikachu in a new Pokémon movie.
The new movie will see Ryan play the part of Detective Pikachu with Justice Smith and Big Little Lies’s Kathryn Newton also set to appear in the live-action film.
Rob Letterman will direct the flick and shooting will begin in London in January.
Details about the film have yet to be released, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan’s character is a detective, “a self-styled investigator who is good at finding things”.
