Riverdale creator says show will address Luke Perry’s death ‘in some way’

Riverdale creator, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has said that the show will address Luke Perry’s death “in some way.”

The actor passed away two weeks ago, after having a stroke several days previous.

The father-of-two played Fred Andrews in Netflix’s hit show, Riverdale and Roberto told Entertainment Tonight that they are unsure about how to address the actor’s death within the series.

“You know, honestly, we are I think all still in shock and are all still processing and grieving,” he said.

“We know that we have to address it in some way, but we’re giving ourselves a little bit of time and space before we figure out the best way to honour him.”

The writer went on to say that Luke “is and always will be a big part of Riverdale.

“When I was with the crew, I said, ‘It will never be the same,’ and that’s true because Luke was such a part of the show.”

Roberto added that there are several episodes that have yet to air with Luke in them: “There are still a few more episodes that have Luke in them, so we’re glad to share those.”
