The singer who is originally from Barbados made history by being the first black woman to appear on the cover of the September Issue of British Vogue.

The September had another first in that it was the first issue with the new editor, Edward Enninful at the helm.

The 46-year-old black man styled Rihanna for the cover shoot.

Rihanna opened up in the magazine about her “thicc” figure and how she embraces her more voluptuous look.

She told the esteemed magazine how she hopes her new shapely figure will stay when she returns to the gym, saying “I’m about to get back into the gym and stuff, and I hope I don’t lose my butt or my hips or all of my thighs. I’ll lose some but not all.

“And I think of my boobs, like, ‘Imma lose everything, everything goes!’ But, you know, it comes with a price.”

“You want to have a butt, then you have a gut.”

Edward Enninful came to his new role at British Vogue from i-D Magazine.

He had held the position of fashion director at the magazine since he was just 18.
