RHOBH star lands role in Real Housewives-themed Christmas movie

Kyle Richards has landed a leading role in Peacock’s first original Christmas movie.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member has been cast in ‘The Real Housewives of the North Pole’, alongside actress Betsy Brandt.

The film will follow Trish (Kyle Richards) and Diana (Betsy Brandt), who have been dubbed ‘The Christmas Queens of North Pole, Vermont.’

Trish and Diana have won the Best Holiday House decorating competition every year for the past nine years.

But days before Christmas, an explosive argument between them sparks a town-wide feud – and draws the attention of a magazine writer looking to jumpstart her career with a juicy expose titled, ‘Real Housewives of the North Pole.’

The film will premiere on Peacock later this year, and has already started production in Utah.

Taking to Instagram last night, Kyle shared a photo of her personalised chair on set, and wrote, “I am so excited about this new project…” alongside a series of Christmas emojis.

In another post, the 52-year-old added: “So happy to be working with this incredible actress @betsybrandt I can’t wait for you all to see it!”

Like her sister Kim Richards, Kyle began her career as a child actress – and is best known for her recurring role in Little House on the Prairie, and playing Lindsey Wallace in the 1978 film Halloween.

The mother-of-four has appeared as a main cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since 2010.

Kyle’s acting roles have been scarce in recent years, but she recently reprised her role as Lindsey Wallace for the upcoming sequel Halloween Kills, which is set for release later this year.
