R. Kelly hit with new sex crime charges in Minnesota

The singer is already facing multiple charges

R. Kelly has been charged with two counts of engaging in prostitution with a person under 18 in Minnesota.

The singer, who is already facing multiple sex crime charges in Chicago and Brooklyn, allegedly met a 17-year-old girl back in 2001 at a promotional event.

Kelly allegedly gave the girl his phone number, and when she called him, she was directed to his hotel room, where he reportedly offered her $200 to dance naked for him.

According to Hennepin County State’s Attorney Mike Freeman, Kelly allegedly touched the teenager’s genitals and breasts as she danced over him on his bed.

The woman reportedly the alleged incident to police back in January.

Responding to the latest charges against the singer, Kelly’s lawyer Steve Greenberg tweeted: “Re: New charges @RKelly give me a break. This is beyond absurd.”
