Priyanka Chopra has admitted that she and Nick Jonas still get “a lot of s**t” over their age gap.
Although they’ve been married six months now, the Indian actress has revealed that their ten years age gap is still a topic of discussion.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, Priyanka said:Â “People gave us a lot of s**t about that and still do.”
“I find it really amazing when you flip it and the guy is older, no one cares and actually people like it.”
During her interview, the 36-year-old also reacted to that controversial article, which was published just days after their wedding last year.
The article, which was published by a media outlet in the US, accused Priyanka of being a “global scam artist”, and questioned her romance with Nick.
The author of the piece later apologised to the newly married couple, after their family members came to her defence and publicly slammed the piece on social media.
Priyanka recalled: “Nick, Joe, Sophie, my mom, his parents, everyone was there furiously typing on their phones. They were so mad.”
“Commenting on some stupidity means it eventually becomes important because I gave it importance. A lot of people don’t understand that way of thinking. It’s not a myopic thought … it’s a long-term plan.”
