Mindy Kaling doesn’t want to tell anyone who her unborn baby’s father is, according to reports.
Earlier this week, E! News reported that the 38-year-old is expecting her first child, despite not being in a relationship right now.
The pregnancy is said to be an “unexpected surprise”, and the actress is planning on keeping the identity of her baby’s father a secret.
“She just started telling her friends she is pregnant,” a source told People. “She is not telling anyone, not even close friends, who the father is.”
The Office star previously revealed that she would not “actively plan” having a family, but didn’t rule out having kids in the future.
“I think I’ve decided that unlike everything else in my life, I’m going to be fast and loose about kids. I’m going to not actively plan, but if it happens, it would happen,” she told Yahoo! Style.
“I’m not cavalier about who I would have a kid with. But the thing I ask every parent that I really admire, the one comment they all have is that they wish they had kids earlier.”
Mindy previously dated her The Office co-star BJ Novak from 2005 to 2007, and writer Benjamin Nugent from 2009 to 2012.
