In Pictures: Our favourite Golden Globes looks from last year

The Golden Globes are back this Sunday, to kick off awards season in style.

While it’s being reported that most actresses will be attending wearing only black, to show their solidarity for women who have been sexually assaulted and harassed in Hollywood, we’re going to look back on some of last year’s red carpet looks.

From cute couples to stand out dresses, here’s our favourite looks from the Golden Globes 2017:

Kristen Bell

We’ll be seeing lots of black this weekend, so why not start off with our favourite black number from last year.

Kristen Bell killed it in this simple but sexy black sequins number.

Not everyone can pull off that much cleavage, but she certainly can.

She paired the look with some serious bling, and that sultry smile.

Ruth Negga

Last year award season was all about Ruth Negga.

The Limerick actress brought something fresh to the red carpet style, while she was nominated for Best Actress for her role in Loving.

Last year the former Love/Hate star went for a metallic look that was a hit with style critics everywhere.

Zoe Saldana

Not everyone can pull off pink and red together, but Zoe Saldana proved last year that this look can really work.

The Star Trek actress looked stunning in this frilly dress, paired with a beautiful off-pink satin bow.

With her hair pulled back and minimal makeup, Zoe looked effortless.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

Definitely our favourite golden couple in Hollywood at the moment, when they do a red carpet together, they really light it up.

The Gossip Girl star went for a black and gold dress last year, showing off her ample curves.

Pulling her hair back, Blake went for a simple yet flawless look with her hair and makeup.

And her arm candy (aka her husband) made her look all the better.

Emily Ratajkowski

Wherever she goes, and whatever she wears, Emily always looks jaw-dropping gorgeous (I can personally vouch for this when I met her at an Oscars party two years ago).

Last year the Gone Girl actress wore this stunning yellow floor-length gown, with slits in all the right places.

Emily added a long silver neck piece to the look and had her hair in classic Hollywood curls.

Hate to be standing beside her on the red carpet…

Jessica Biel

She’s hotly tipped to win a Golden Globe this weekend for her role in The Sinner and we’re sure she’s going to kill it on the red carpet too.

Last year Jessica wore this unusual, but striking, look, showing off her tiny waist and athletic frame.

It’s hard to stand out on these red carpets, and Jessica definitely did with this whole look last year.

Brie Larson

It’s always risky to wear a red dress on a red carpet, but Brie Larson pulled it off last year.

The Room star looked elegant and classy in this strapless red number.

The actress wore very small rings and earrings, wearing no necklaces or bracelets to keep the look very classic.

Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon looked like someone out of a Disney movie last year on the Golden Globes red carpet.

The Big Little Lies star went for a figure-hugging yellow strapless dress, with a big slit on her left leg.

Wearing a stunning white and gold chunky necklace and her hair back in an up-style, Reese looked picture perfect.

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone

And last, but certainly not least, our favourite red carpet duo from last year were Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.

They walked all of the biggest red carpets last year, promoting their movie La La Land.

Emma looked stunning in this star-patterned glitzy dress, while Ryan opted for a white tux (isn’t he the dream?).

Wearing a soft red lip and pulling her hair back in a loose side bun, Emma looked perfect as she accepted her Golden Globe award.

See us back here for all the red carpet looks from The Golden Globes 2018.
