Jennifer Lawrence has finally made her red carpet debut with her director boyfriend Darren Aronfosky.
Although the couple have been dating for almost a year, the 27-year-old actress and 48-year-old director have kept their romance out of the spotlight – until now.
At the New York premiere of Mother! last night, Jennifer and Darren walked the red carpet together – and the pair looked very loved-up.
The Oscar winner, who plays the lead role in Darren’s new horror film Mother!, stunned in a Dior Haute Couture gown.
Their red carpet debut comes after Jennifer opened up about their relationship in a recent interview with Vogue.
“We had energy. I had energy for him. I don’t know how he felt about me,” Jennifer said. “I’ve been in relationships before where I am just confused. And I’m never confused with him.”
“I normally don’t like Harvard people, because they can’t go two minutes without mentioning that they went to Harvard. He’s not like that.”
Jennifer, who has previously dated X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult and Coldplay’s Chris Martin, plays the lead role in horror flick Mother! – and the actress admitted that she had to “go to a darker place” both physically and mentally for the role.
“When I saw the movie, I was reminded all over again how brilliant he is. For the past year, I’ve been dealing with him as just a human,” she said, speaking about Darren’s role as the director. .
“I had to go to a darker place than I’ve ever been in my life. I didn’t know if I’d be able to come out okay.
“I ended up getting on oxygen. I have oxygen tubes in my nostrils, and Darren’s like, ‘It was out of focus; we’ve got to do it again.’ And I was just like, ‘Go f*** yourself.’”
