Paris Hilton has confirmed that she will be keeping her $2 million engagement ring, despite splitting from her fiancé Chris Zylka.
The couple were together for two years, but called off their engagement two months ago.
The 37-year-old reality star revealed her plans to keep the ring on Sirius XM’s The Jenny McCarthy Show.
When the host asked if she was going to keep the 20-carat diamond ring, Paris smiled and said: “Yeah. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.”
Explaining why she’s keeping the extravagant ring, the hotel heiress admitted that her ex-fiancé may have gotten a discount on the sparkler, in exchange for some publicity.
The person who we got it from got millions and millions of dollars of free publicity,” she confessed. “So, I love how social media has basically become like a new form of commercials.”
Paris appeared on ‘The Talk’ last month, and explained how she falls in love quickly.
“I’m just really having my me time. I just feel that, when I fall in love, I fall in love fast and hard and it was this whirlwind romance,” she said.
“I’ve always been obsessed with Disney stories and love stories and I thought it was going to be my happy ending. I just realized after time it wasn’t the right decision, but I wish him the best.
“One day I would love to get married and have children, but for right now I’m just focusing on myself and my work,” she added.
